What is Mindfulness and how can it help?
When we are mindful, we consciously choose to be aware in the present moment and to do so with acceptance, compassion and willingness. Many of us spend our lives endlessly caught by worry about the future, dwelling on events in the past, and swept away by emotional and mental reactivity. Mindfulness helps us break free from these dysfunctional and damaging patterns. As we learn to slow down and pay attention in this way, we experience less debilitating stress and much more satisfaction and gratitude in our lives.
